Dolphin Property Services is a real estate property management company specializing in affordable housing properties.
A growing NY based Property Management firm is looking for a residential Senior Accountant for the Third-Party portfolio.
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accountant will have full responsibility for managing the day-to-day accounting practices.

*Essential function/Responsibilities: duties include but are not limited to the following:*
‒ Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger (GL) to track all income statements and expenses
‒ Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate
‒ Reconcile all business accounts to ensure our records match up and no transaction gets lost
‒ Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly
‒ Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary
‒ Follow up with vendors for accounts payable and keep in touch as needed for collections and ensure bills are paid on time
‒ Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings
‒ Assist the real estate team or other staff accountants with other accounting duties as needed
*Requirements:*
‒ Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
‒ Yardi Experience (must have)
‒ 4+ years of accounting experience within the real estate industry; residential/affordable experience preferred, commercial a plus.
‒ Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
‒ Must be proficient Microsoft applications - Word and Excel
‒ Prefer a working knowledge of Yardi Voyager software
‒ Strong organization skills
‒ Ability to work independently as well as in a team
‒ Self-starter who is willing to take initiative on tasks
‒ Superior Customer Service skills required
‒ Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
‒ Strong capability to communicate effectively both verbally and written, including giving and receiving feedback with all levels within the organization
‒ Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced, ever-changing work environment
