POSITION DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Loan Servicing Specialist I
Department: Loan Servicing
Classification: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $19.
00-24.
50 per hour depending on experience
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Position reports to: Loan Servicing Manager
Positions Supervised: None
POSITION PURPOSE
This position is accountable for performing a variety of loan servicing duties associated with the servicing of consumer and residential loans; collaborating with other lines of business across Heritage Financial Credit Union ((HFCU) to ensure all Real Estate and Consumer loan accounts are transacted and managed with the critical and creative thought process that ensures delivery of timely and high impact service, internally and externally.
The Loan Servicing Specialist I will actively participate in the mentoring, training and development of themselves and team in alignment with the HFCU vision, mission and core values and will perform all responsibilities in accordance with federal/state regulations and HFCU policies and procedure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Perform general (Consumer & Residential) LS duties forwarded via ERequests (ACH origination; Skip A Pay Set-up; Sub Action’s; Payoff Letters as well as payment reversal and/or payment postings.
)
2.
Perform daily/weekly/monthly file submissions to vendors and or internal departments.
3.
Distribute and send all LS mail.
4.
Provide backup support for the process and discharge of auto filings and lien releases.
5.
Processing end of day checks.
6.
Rotating coverage of late night Fridays
7.
Rotating coverage of partial working day on Saturdays
8.
Consistently review and recommend changes to improve workflow, efficiencies and quality within the loan servicing department
and other departments of HFCU.
9.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Performance is measured against the goals as outlined by the position established by the supervisor.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Certification
High School Diploma or similar work experience.
Required Knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite
This position requires that the employee gain a working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements and how they will affect their work.
The employee will comply with all requirements of the BSA and cooperate with the designated BSA Officer in assuring compliance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
Bilingual a plus.
