The Explorer is a highly sought-after canoe for its agility, durability and relative light weight.
It is a capable canoe for flat water to Class III.
If you are looking for a great family canoe, one to hunt or fish from or one to run the rapids, this might be the boat for you.
The originally had wooden gunwales with some rot so I installed low maintenance vinyl gunwales and decks from a “donor” Old Town Discovery canoe.
The hull is solid but had some gouges and wear that I correctly touched up with tinted G/Flex.
The color is not a great match, it cured lighter and a slightly orange tint – which annoyed me, so I priced it accordingly.
This canoe is in very good condition, reasonably priced and ready to go – it needs nothing but you, paddles, PFDs and water.
I lowered the seats for increased stability on an already stable canoe.
This canoe is solid and ready to go – see pictures for details.
Paddles, PFD and seat backs are available but not included.
The pictures tell the story, but feel free to ask any questions you have.
Due to scammers this will be an in person - cash only transaction.
I will respond quickly to messages but will delete "offers" and obvious scammers.
Price is firm - and no - I am not interested in any “trades.
