How you can make a bigger difference: The Jewish Board’s Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate, high quality, evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve.
Our staff use a culturally affirming, person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning, to instill hope, and to strengthen resiliency.
Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our communities.
The Bridges to Care team works directly with individuals with severe mental illness, substance use disorders, and/or physical health conditions.
Working primarily in the community, the clinician uses a recovery-oriented lens and evidenced based approaches to evaluate participant’s strengths and resources, identify barriers to engagement in services, ascertain level of risk and appropriate services to manage risk, assist with managing and keeping appointments, provide psychoeducation and coordinate other aspects of participants’ health and community services to support engagement.
The clinician also provides crisis services to participants remotely or in person in the office or community.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Conduct assessments to evaluate participant’s strengths and resources, current functioning, barriers to engagement, level of risk and identify appropriate interventions to manage risk • Provide evidence based interventions to enhance motivation to engage in services and supports, and reduce risky behaviors.
• Provide individual, group, family, collateral sessions and crisis services/interventions • Be actively self-reflective & self-aware of how clinical and administrative practice impacts clients, families, and the communities we serve • Approach work with an anti-racist lens and open to continuously learning and evolving • Liaise with families, schools, criminal justice, and other community agencies to coordinate care • Participate in clinical meetings, staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
• Open and willing to receive constructive feedback • Maintain documentation according to the standards and time frames established by the Jewish Board, regulatory agencies and/or funding sources • Maintain professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board, relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and procedures.
• Hybrid work setting.
Position entails a combination of in person and remote work.
Allocation of time and locations to be developed in collaboration with Senior Program Director and is based on the needs of the programs and clients served.
Travel required between program locations and other Jewish Board sites.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: The Jewish Board is currently looking for talented individuals of all cultures, religions, races, and gender expressions with the following qualifications: • Master’s degree in Social Work, (MSW), LMHC or LCAT with a minimum of one year of relevant experience with similar population.
Work at least 2 evenings.
Work on Saturdays preferred.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with evidence based approaches • Fluency in a second language is preferred.
• Experience with telemental health platforms a plus • Proficient with electronic health record; Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook); comfortable and proficient using audio video platforms (i.
e.
, Zoom).
